Free condoms
Free condoms and lube are available from a lot of gay bars, clubs, saunas, backrooms and gyms. But take your own as often they run out. It’s a good idea to carry more than just one condom and lube sachet. If something goes wrong with the condom you’ll need one or two more as back-up.
Condoms can also be available for free from sexual health clinics, HIV clinics, some doctors’ surgeries and health centres.
You should also be able to get free condoms from:
- Gay centres, social and youth groups
- HIV/safer sex organisations (some send them by post)
Buying condoms
Buying condoms gives you more choice. They can be bought in lots of different places;
Chemists, supermarkets, late night garages, gay shops and from vending machines in clubs and pubs.
There are plenty of internet sites also selling a large variety of condoms. www.freedoms-shop.com sells cheaper condoms and lube, delivered direct to your door.
When buying condoms, remember that the British Safety Standard kitemark and the CE symbol

mean the condom should be of a decent quality and safe to use.
